I see a lot of people introducing themselves as they enter these forums for the first time, so i thought i'd give a little late intro. I live in Richmond along with quitecoolguy which is the only one I've seen on here so far that I know in person.

I'm 19 years old. Started playing when I was five on bar boxes playing eightball primarily because my parents both played in the APA, and we had a table at home. I quit when I was 13 because noone my age was into it, and it was getting boring because my parents never took me anywhere or really looked into getting me into tournaments. When I got my driver's license I started back up playing at a local bar 3-6 free pool. Eventually, I finally realized in order to get any better I needed to move over to nine-foots and play nineball, and go other places and play against better players. I've only been playing nineball on nine-foots for about two years now, but after working in a pool hall/bar and gambling everyday against better players, I got better pretty fast. In case none of you knew, the APA recently nationally lowered the age to enter from 21 to 18, so I'm now starting my second session in nineball, and went from a 4 to an 8 in my first session.

Hope to acquire some good advice and hear some good pool stories from around the world.
