Hi guys,
I just received by X-breaker X347 about 1 week ago, and I have to say, the cue ROCKS. Mine is the purple stained BEM one, I don't have pix, but Richard has some on his website. The cue has a beautiful finish, I like the rings, I love how the joints screw on really tight, I like the concave tip, and most of all, it feels amazing my hands. I actually treat it better than my playing cue!
The cue breaks extremely well. I don't think the sound needs getting used to -- it sounds like a phenolic tip breaking, only a little higher pitched. I am a VERY weak breaker, but with the X347, I hit the balls a lot more solid, I get a good spread everytime, and my B&R %s have increased. Heck, the second rack I broke it with, I ran out. The cue is really easy to jump with, and I have no had much problems even with close jumps. I also don't feel that the concave tip gives me a control problem with jumping.
Seriously, if you are looking for a great J/B cue to improve your game and give you more outs, I recommend the X-breaker on all levels. As far as fit, finish, construction and playability, I rate it higher than any sledge or J/B I have ever had.
Thanks Charlie and Richard!
