With Yang out, it is a significantly easier field. He was my favorite to win. Now, it's anybody's ballgame, i think. With 10 players still remaining (just how many of them qualified, anyway??!), the Taiwanese have the odds going for them. But don't count the Americans out, though. With Earl and Johnny on the way home, it's up to the young guns! Deuel hasn't been giving pool the attention it deserves but look where he is now. I think this is the time the torch was passed from the veterans to the uh, younger generation. Even the Filipino superstars Reyes and Bustamante are out (what a bummer!) and it is up to the second-stringers to take up the slack. Who will step up to take the mantle? And then of course there is defending champion Pagulayan and former champion Hohmann. This is getting exciting! I can't wait to get home to watch! God bless ESPN!!!!
