Yani Tseng, LPGA winner and a top pool player too

I've got a pal who works LPGA tournaments, and he tells me that Yani
Tseng is a top-flight athlete, but an especially good pool player. He reports that Yani is seeking some regional tournament competition during the golf off-season.

Anyone know her game?

This is crazy but I was going to post why PGA Professional should learn to play pool to improve their putting skills! With this info about Yanni I now understand why she is putting much better than the rest,not to mention her length off the tee!

There was a Taiwanese article on how she played pool at where ever the city was that her last tournament was to improve her putting skills. Pretty creative I would say, but I would love to see a video of her playing

Even though she is the best women's golfer in the world .... it goes to show you that playing golf or any other sport really, pays better then pool.

But that's the point ... she is a pool player. She also plays professional golf, and well.

She does play pool, I will give you that.

Here is the theory:

In PUTTING the 3 key elements are:
1.Keeping your head and body still with good balance.
2. A good and reapeatable stroke
3. Excllent touch/feel and imagination

In Pool:1. You need to keep keep your head and body still and have good balance.
2. What can I say about stroke you guys don't know.
3. Touch/feel and imagination to make shots.

The other thing pool helps you is that if you are having trouble putting when looking at the ball you can spot putt by looking at a spot in front of the ball to roll it over.
Alot of great players attribute pool to better putting but Tom Watson wrote and article in golf digest some years back that playing pool improves putting skills. Hope that helps.
