yellow carbon fiber without painting, is it the same material as the black carbon fiber?

I love the CF shafts however I much prefer if it was a brown/yellowish color, so I made a little google search about carbon fibers and there's a type called kevlar and yellow carbon fiber which has a yellowish texture to it. What I would love to know is if the material is exactly the same & has the same properties then wouldn't it be possible to use this one and have my shaft made by anyone or maybe predator themselves and make me a Revo in that specific texture/color? Would be great if they can do that for me! or anyone for that matter.

here's another closer look into kevlar carbon fiber which I really hope works just like the black carbon fiber the shaft makers uses.

VERY expensive. Kinda overkill for a pool shaft. Don't see any makers ever using it. Don't need kevlar strength in a pool shaft.

I think that the kevlar tube's impact resistance isn't really the linear impact that a pool cue endures. The kevlar tube would withstand being slapped against the rail better, like some do after missing a shot, as that material and weave pattern are known for that. Kevlar is what a lot of "bullet-proof" stuff is made of, so that could be the kind of impact referenced in that blurb.

Kevlar tubes are use a lot in the electrical industry and also on aircraft for wiring/data conduit. Totally agree with you. To use it just for color's sake would be costly overkill. OP needs to contact WhyteCarbon. They offer colors other than black. https://whytecarbon.com/collections/shafts

aren't they just painted? if so, how durable is the paint they've slapped on the cf?
The WC's? Site says 'low-friction' coatings. IMO you should just use cf in their natural black state. I think any coating would be subject to getting sticky/tacky in humid settings. Maybe something new has been developed.

aramid -aka Kevlar TM- is a pain to work with.

Not a new material in the cue industry , Longoni cues used it for some shafts, like some 5-pins cuemakers ...

I believe Stephen Dubus of Wheat State Custom Cues can make his carbon fiber shafts in wood color. You can find him on Facebook.
