Yellow Pool Balls

Just bought a set of dynaspheres and I noticed that while the condition of the balls are perfect the white is very yellow.

Is this normal? The pool shop assured me that it’s normal and not to worry about it? I could return it but it would be quite a hassle since it’s far away from me.

I was told that these were dynasphere gold generation 1. Bought from a reputable in store shop so I don’t think they are fakes
 
I stand corrected. I wasn’t aware that Dynasphere’s came in this style, they look like Aramith Premier to me, or another generic set.

Regarding the yellowing, I don’t know about Dynasphere in particular, but I’ve seen it happen with Aramith Pro Cup and TV Pro Cup, which is a high quality ball set.
 
I am not a fan of the Dynasphere's gold and silver look, and given the more yellow color these models have (I've heard they come that way out of the box) I think they are an older version resin used vs the Bronze / Vanadium, Rhodium and Palladium models (which I like very much, especially the classic look with the large basic font and colors plus price of the Bronze set). The current resin also stays very clean, polishes up very nicely and does not seem to show a lot of playing marks.

Maybe return the gold set and get a Bronze / Vanadium set?

Nope the three is wrong, Chig's three is rounded...

Definitely some flavor of Dynasphere, very close to Gold

I have the bronze set and they are perfectly white. Why would anyone want yellow hued pool balls - makes no sense to me - the brighter the white shade of pool balls - the easier for aiming at a distance - IMO.
 
They all yellow over time anyway. Here's a brand new set of the Centennial TV edition for comparison. The Dynasphere Gold may have been the top set for the US market and had an MRSP of $406; some retailers still sell them for $344. Like the Bronze, they will eventually be gone.

What has distance got to do with returning them? You return them to the same place you bought them which wasn't a problem then, Returns are extremely easy.
 
Looks like Kozoom has 9 Vanadium (Bronze rebrand, same resin and colors / font) in stock for ~$130 USD. If someone spends over 200 (euros) it is free shipping and tax free to the USA. Might be time to do another group buy? Anyone want to host one this time? I did it last time requiring prepayment including shipping plus a little extra cash for my time for their Rhodium cue balls (looks like they got some more in stock). Anyone game to host a group buy?

Its more about time wasted. My work schedule is quite crazy and I would prefer not to waste time getting stuck in LA traffic. Driving back and forth from my house to the shop in LA traffic is guaranteed two hours.

I actually lucked out though. I was at my local pool hall and the owner saw them and complimented the set. I told him I didn't like them since they had yellowed and he offered to take them off my hands for play credit at almost the same price I paid for them. Overall I only ended up losing about $40. I didn't mind the trade since its more than I would have gotten selling it and my money will eventually be his anyways when I pay for the play time haha.
