we have a local handicapped league and are about half way thru the session. I had a match yesterday and what a match! I won the lag and the opponent broke and 2 balls did not hit the rail resulting in a 2 point foul. (what a difference a foul makes)
no high runs due to the rack was not opening too well as the room was about 80 deg and humid so the balls seemed to stick together despite being cleaned prior to the match (aranith pro tournament) many innings because of that. so it was a back and forth score wise. we were racing to 120 and once we both got over 100 it was really close, more or less 10 balls apart. then at the end there were 5 balls on the table and spread apart. I needed 4 balls and he needed only 1 ball........we had about 4 people watching the match once we were 3/4 of the way being done as the match was so close. the opponent rattled the 2 ball in the corner pocket, I held my breathe as I thought it would drop after hanging for a couple of seconds. it didn't and I was able to drop 4 balls for the win....quite an exciting match and ending up 120-119 so the 2 ball foul with the 1st rack made a huge difference. he could not remember ever doing that before! I went home and had a cigar and wine as I am now 6-1!!!! :dance::happydance:
