So what do you eat before tourneys?

What seems to keep me focused is a big plate of pasta with a touch of butter and parmesian cheese. Good carbs! I also do a regiment of B6 and St Johns Wort (magical)

What I don't eat is Big Greasy cheeseburger (mmmmm). Makes me lethargic and not care if I win or lose. Steaks, bacon or other high fat foods I try to avoid.

What about you? Have you found foods/vitamins/herbs (lol can't wait for the response to this one) that seem to make you play better?

*we aren't talking beer :)

I eat a bunch of peanuts, cashews, almonds, whatever; it just keeps me going steady.

If I ate a big plate of pasta I'd be done before I even started.

I've never give it much thought...I'm still young,or some say..lol. I'm 53 an still just nibble on what ever..usually share my meal with a friend..unless its biskets an gravey..thats all mine. I do know that I can't eat alot all at once, other wise I'm all in...for a nap that is..have a good one.

If you put a bunch of red sauce on it then yes that is not good. Pasta itself is not bad for you and is a great source for vitamin B. Vitamin B is awesome in converting food into energy. Energy needed for superior brain function. That's why I can spell words like Bizarre wrong and not feel bad about it. :)

Yep, I'm with you :)

keep the carbs outs before league or tourney. Body has to work too hard converting those carbs..... need some protein, and I eat nuts as well, and maybe a banana....i'm good to go, and maybe bring a protein bar with to snack on if hungry later....
