You have 1 hour in the pool room?

Scatter balls, shoot anything, build confidence.

I like to scatter the balls, and shoot ANYTHING I want...no order, no logic. The reason is, I can't miss...I have so many choices of shots, that I can run out almost every rack doing it this way...this builds up my confidence, which I feel is more valuable than practicing cutting balls, etc.

I've been playing for over 20 years, I know how to cut a ball, but the head game is the most difficult to master, that's where the time is best invested IMO. I believe that with one hour, you'd be better served sitting in a corner, envisioning making every shot, then to play on a table shooting drills and miss some of your shots. Any practice that builds confidence is better than any drills, if you only got 1hr and game time is near.

Just my .02

My normal routine is to get a beverage, spread the balls out and get warmed up for a rack or two then I shoot some 6 Pocket which is challenging for practice. I would rather have an hour of solid practice then playing for fun or cheap with someone who is not very enjoyable to play with.

What's 6 pocket?

I would work on long straight in's - corner to corner. Follow, stop shots, then draw shots. Works the fundamentals and insures a good straight stroke.
