Last night I headed up to the pool hall to check in on the happenings of the day, upon arrival I learn that Todd Martin (ex tennis player) has been playing in the room most of the day as well as the night before from 10pm till 2am (I left at 9:30 that night..ugh). So I head over to the table where he is playing a regular and was pleasantly surprised at his shooting overall, pretty neat to see someone who is famous for playing another sport in our pool hall just fitting in with the gang and enjoying playing, he said he doesnt get much time to play and really wanted to get in as much as possible while he was in town. Pretty neat to watch him go at it, he took it more serious than I would think, no casual play from him.

Funny this topic should come up.

Just last night we were leaving league night early and were going to talk to the owner of a local bar and poolhall about joining his BCA in house league because we were pretty much sick of the shitholes we had to play in APA. As we walked in we see the owner, Sonny, sitting down having dinner with Stefano Pelinga and Charles Darling. I totally forgot Stefano and others were in town for the expo.

Stefano is good friends with Sonny and he usually does exhibitions at this poolhall whenever he is in the states for an event. So I made some small take with him like I normally do. The guy has a great memory and remembered us from a couple other times we have talked to him and even played him at another exhibition.

So yeah, this post seemed fitting under this topic.

Its just funny seeing someone you totall do not expect to be around, I walk into that pool hall every day and with one glance can tell who all is there, but it throws you off when somone "special" is in house that will make a good conversation with you, pretty neat.

Living about 60 miles from Syracuse, NY, two or three times a year we would walk in and find "Babe" Cranfield on the billiard table. Played pretty good, too!!
