Your biggest secret ?

I figured out that instead of paying an instructor for repeated lessons to continue getting my mechanics on track, I paid for one (very well taught) lesson to learn what I should look for in my mechanics, and used my bathroom mirror to teach the rest.

I really like this idea. I have been goofing around with a new stance and stroke mechanics associated with it. I think it is much more mechanically sound than my current, automatic setup. I think I will try practicing it in front of the mirror to get the minor details worked out.

Without a doubt realizing that I don't need to sqeeze the cue with my fingers to be able to move it forward. The stroke shouldn't be a shot with a tight fist with a cue inside. All I need is a steady firm (cannot play with a loose grip) grip on the cue if the grip pressure stays constant and the whole arm is relaxed.

Also, other parts of my body should be relaxed, except middle-section of my body to keep the proper balance. Cannot make a relaxed shot with a tense upperbody.

In a nutshell: Relax !!! (I believe Frankie Goes to Hollywood figured this out before me... )
