Schons, Troy Downey,Bob Owens, Joss, Meucci, Dale Perry, CueTek,., I don't regret purchasing any of them, I just traded my Troy Downey for another Schon, and I may have a little regret with that. Bob Owens was a pawn shop find, that I played with, and ultimately sold it. But I play with my Schons, been playing with one since 1995. Cue I really want, a Joe Gold Cognoscenti...One day.

I've owned hundreds of cues. My favorites are Joey's and Bluegrass. Though I'd take a southwest or Kersenbrock if I could afford one. Really regret selling my Mason Houghland cue, was a great playing cue. Also regret a trade I made back in 1991, but that was a long time ago.

A few Schons, Pechauer custom, McD, Cem of Germany, Jim Auerbach, Bob Owens, Jim Buss.
Never regretted owning any of them, never sold one.

Looking at a Meucci Originals for sentimental reasons only, belonged to a late friend.
And one day a Tascarella, by Pete Sr., just because.

Since finding the Bob Owens, I've had no desire to play another cue, the quest had ended.

As for dislikes, they are not worth the time to speak of.

I’ve owned...Predator, Viking, Joss, Joss West, Olivier, Schon, Players, Cue Tech, Mike Betts, Josey, Frey, Huebler, Jensen, Shagrat, Petree, Gilbert, Verl Horn, S&S...I’m sure I’m forgetting some. I’ve owned a LOT of cues.

I regret selling my Huebler the most. Loved that cue and sold it at a discount to a very good player “friend” who needed a cue. He then flipped it for a profit...twice. He happened across it in a pawn shop about a year after he sold it the first time and bought it back for what I sold it to him for, then flipped it again for a profit. Then felt the need to tell me of his good fortune.

I regret purchasing my Jensen. Some will be shocked to hear that, as Mike has a reputation for building great playing cues. I just didn’t have a good experience and the cue I bought didn’t live up to the hype.

I’m hoping to own a Treadway sometime in 2021. Been on the list for a bit and Josh said he’s got the wood going now. Can’t wait.

I don’t really dislike any particular maker or brand. Nowadays I’ll rarely buy a cue I haven’t hit balls with no matter who made it. If I like it after I’ve played with it, I might buy it. Again, no matter who made it.

My main player since around ‘06 is my Verl Horn. That one is on the stay list and will never be sold.
