Your ideal tournament destination and format?

If you were to attend a tournament every year like the APA or CSI in Las Vegas, what would be your ideal destination and tournament format?More so asking the recreational guys and league players.We all know the top guys will go to the moon if the price is right.What would you consider an affordable city?Casino, Hotel, convention center, etc...Time of the year?How many events would you consider to many to run simultaneously?We all have suggestions and thoughts of the perfect or ideal event.

if you think the current events are not flawed or are in great order that is awesome as well.This is just a discussion.Thanks for your time in advance.
 
I don't like summertime for pool nationals, would rather have them in October, far enough away from thanksgiving and Christmas. Most people play better in the fall/winter that's when interest is the highest
 
For my location!

Here in North Carolina Id love to see Chandleys In Statesville get some 3 day events going for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Multiloss format.

What I think we need a good mix of recreational and serious players in order to make it work and I hope with the arrival of the new equipment we can get that going. Statesville is interested in bringing players here whose wives and girlfriends shop. If we can make that work then this type of event that you mention would be available to players in the Carolinas and the South. That's what I could get excited about.
 
Weeklong event at the now closed stick and stein in key west - I would forfeit both my matches and party the entire time.
