Runarak - on it right now is a Sniper tip, med-hard. I decided to go with the Sniper before I started having trouble with them on my other cues. I mailed the tips to Dennis Dieckman for him to put them on, but that was back in January, I think. Since then I've had a LOT of trouble with Sniper tips. Luckily, though, during the 3 days I filmed for this video, the tips didn't give me any trouble. On a side note, it's actually better to have a harder tip than a softer tip. While a softer tip grabs the cue ball, it also loses power because of the compression of the tip. A harder tip retains the power, at least in theory.
Aunty-dan - that shot was conceived by Javier Gomez, an artistic pool pro in Mexico. His version on faster cloth is across and back, but past the side pockets, then down to the corner. He sent me the diagram a few days before the filming of this video, along with another shot that's in it. He seems like a great guy and carries himself like a professional should.
Hal2 - no, it's year-old, wore out 860 simonis. The slow cloth made a lot of those shots extremely hard. I had several other shots diagrammed that work in my head but I couldn't make work on slow cloth. I'll be recovering in the next few days, 860. I may wind up filming all of those shots anyway. We'll see.
thanks for the props, I love what I do!
