Yeah, they were talking about this on the WPC thread:

I think it's good he donated the money, but at the same time it would be even better if he used that money and did some work himself, or brought some people with him to assist with the relief

There is A LOT of corruption in non-profit organizations, particularly ones that take donations. I know this first-hand, many people would be surprised.

Bad deal.

Oops, I wasn't aware anyone had mentioned it, but it's such a great act I don't mind sayin' it again!

It's such a sad realization when corruption robs those who are truly in a time of need man. I recently donated a bit of money to help out down in Joplin, MO after the tornado destroyed a huge chunk of that town and I'm thankful that not only were all of the people I know and care for there still alive, but that the money I sent was to a person I know and trust to do with it what he said he would. I wish I had wealth and the time to do more myself.

I hope karma comes around and takes it's toll on anyone who would do wrong under the name of any charitable organization! That kinda stuff is just WRONG man!

Donations!!!!!!

Hey Sammy,
The best nation in the world is "DONATION". I am going to make it up that way soon to play you some and doante a lil of my own ;). LOL. Talk to you soon Buddy.

Hey brotha, great to see ya on here man! Gimme a hollar whenever your going to be in the area and we'll make it a point to hit some together!

Yea, that's pretty sweet!

36k is a big chunk of change. I wonder if he is pretty financially secure and how. More then likely, he just plays pool, and he is not really a known name to most, although he is a champion obviously.

He has a sponsor that gives a free ride to any tournament he enters and I think a small salary. I would guess that he isn't rich, but he also isn't living off of cup of noodles.

Thanks

Just amazing how many world class players are in Asia, and many of them we never really hear about.
