Z2 question

Quick question about a pred. Z2 shaft. A customer handed me one for a tip change yesterday and I measured the ferrule as it was very small. It is 11.35 mm. He said that it has gotten smaller over time each time he has had the tip changed by the same guy . The Pred. website says that they come standard as 11.75 mm but doesn't say how small they can go and still be safe. My question is, how much smaller can it go before a concern of weakness plays into it? He doesn't want it smaller, I just want to know if I should advise him to make sure who ever does the next tip doesn't make it smaller with sanding.
Thanks,
Dave

From Predator's website.

TIP DIAMETER. We do not recommend turning your shaft down. You can choose to turn your shaft, but any 3142 shaft turned below 12.25 mm, any Z2 shaft turned below 11.40 mm, and any Fat shaft turned below 12.70 mm will result in an automatic void of your warranty.

Thanks...I missed that earlier. Guess his warrentee is now voided
