Zan Hybrid Max

Zan

I've been speaking with Oscar Domingeuz about these he would be who you should get in touch with. Its a hard base (glue side) the rest is medium plays like a broke in medium until final 2 layers. Alex P. plays with the hybrid

That's correct. The 3 cushion guys seems to like that tip alot.

I've been playing the hybrid max for about 6 months. I had 2 layers taken off on the initial install and I'm still playing with it. No glazing or mushrooming but over time ends up playing very hard. Zan have a couple other options if you want something a bit softer. Overall, an excellent tip!

I've been using the Zan medium since last July. I've never had a tip last this long. I absolutely love it. I hardly have to do anything to it and it plays great. I haven't had a tip play this well since the original Moori.

Been using it for a couple weeks... Very good... Prefer over kamuis... But if it gets harder then I will have to go soft

Zan premium soft is my favourite tip, stumbled across it when a cue I purchased had one installed on one of the shafts, have not looked back since. Love them!!

I live here in Okinawa, Japan. The Hybrid Max is the number one prefered tip here. I installed one on my old original 314 and it plays fantastic. Go have one installed and play with it for a while. It's accurate and gives good spin. NO HAZING! Don't take any layers off until you break it in...which doesn't take too long. It's not like buying a new cue. Besides, if you're on this thread, you're looking for something new anyway. The Zan Grip Hard is for you guys who want a harder tip with grip. Enjoy!

I've been using one for a few weeks. It's on the hard side, but grips well and takes chalk well. It also has a noticeably better sound than when I first installed it.

Reviving an older thread, right now I’m playing with a Moori medium. I’ve never played with a hard tip on my everyday player, but I’m interested in getting a medium tip that is a bit firmer than the med moori I am currently using. Would a Zan hybrid max be the way to go ?

I just got a Zan Hybrid tip and was looking online for maintenance tips. In your comment I see you said "Don't take any layers off until you break it in". As I don't know much about tips, I was wondering what would be the reason to purposefully take layers off of the tip?

I like the hybrid tip...
stock" have it installed, leave the layers,
will play great like that,
and really last a long time...
doesnt mushroom or delaminate, doesnt glaze over and get slick either...
just use a kamui gator grip scuffer

Some people don't like the height of a tip from the factory. Trim a couple layers off and it's shorter and more to their liking.
