Hello guys! My friend is asking me to sell this cue. Looking for its cash value. It's very straight, no wobble. Condition is not perfect. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the value, but this is an excellent offering. Classic cue, nice to see the TAD inspiration cue on its own.

These used to fetch 1200 to 1400 a few years back. I sold one just like this for 1200 4 years ago. Very hard to say what anything is worth now, but it's going to be less. I'd say 900 to 1000. Not sure of the condition of the ivory joint, but if there are issues replacement costs a few hundred and then the cue is devalued as being non original.

That said , you only have to sell it once. Find the right collector and you can certainly get a little more. Ask 1200 and go from there, that's what I'd do.

I've seen a couple of Mr. Martin's cues do well on the market. They had the earlier 3/8x8 brass joint screw. Mr. Martin later switched to the 3/8x10 brass.
Best of luck.

I don't know the value but this just triggered a memory. The other cue, with two shafts, that was posted for identification recently. I wanted to guess Martin but couldn't think of the name. It was from Southern California. It was stated that cue came from Southern California and the maker observed the shooter and made the cue according to how they shot. As I remember, Martin used to do that. I couldn't remember the name and this triggered the memory.

I don't know that I am right but that's the name I was searching for. If I get time I'll go back and look. Maybe somebody else would like to as well. I don't remember if the features of the cue are right for Martin. It's just that I remember Martin used to observe the shooter to design the cue. It could be a false memory though, but it just came to me that was the name I was associating with the story behind that other cue.

I disagree with the post as to the value being less today than it was 4 years ago. Look at the collectable cue prices on Facebook. It is the mid tier custom cues have fallen. Premium and definitely collectable cues are selling. This cue is definitely a collectable.

This cue is for a guy who loves pool, cues, and memorabilia. If I were still in my 50's I would snap it up. If you want a collectable, a few hundred or even a thousand does not really matter provided the "cue is right". In the case, the cue must be true straight and playable.

The cue appears to have been a player and has seen action, making it vey interesting. You do not see Martin's up for sale often and there have been no more made in the last 4 years since the poster sold his. I would price the cue up accordingly.

Thanks guys for all the input. I posted this also in Facebook to get a better look of its true value and let the owner knows. Again, much appreciation.

Love this cue. I wish I could snap this up, but I know I probably wouldn't play much with it given the condition of the joint. And I don't like fat butts on my cues... but that's just a personal preference.

Harvey Martin cues are sweet!
