    Problems playing certain people

Good grief, I know this guy! Except my guy prefers nine ball. Nothing but safes. He once told me that if he makes a ball other than the nine ball it was likely in error… And the snarky little sharky comments never stop. I seem to always draw the bastard in tournaments. Last time was 8 ball...

Another “Was this a foul” question

I could be wrong, but I don't know of a set of rules that allows someone to simply "take" ball in hand whenever they want. Ultimately, there has to be approval. In the absence of a referee, anybody who picks up the cue ball himself without approval would be the one giving up ball in hand… It...

your paying too much for cues

To be fair, so is criticizing someone for the manner in which they spend their own money.

your paying too much for cues

I don't usually concern myself with how much other people pay for their stuff. But maybe that's just me…

It’s the arrow not the archer 🪶

There used to be a show on TV, hell it may still be on, called "how it's made". Each episode showed exactly how various things are made. Pretty damn interesting…

    Jump Cue Recommendations

If you consider "two balls" to be a "close jump" I'd offer that you need to worry a lot more about your technique/skill set than you do about your equipment. 😁

Your 1st Cue, 30 Years Later

My first "real" cue was a Mali. Circa 1984. Followed fairly shortly thereafter by a Meucci JR-3. I still have both.

    Jump Cue Recommendations

He specified a dart stroke. It works very well for some people, and for some people it's a requirement due to physical limitations. I admit, I always chuckle at people who think more expensive is necessarily better.

Not even close. Jacoby. I honestly don't think there's a better one out there for a dart style jumper. You'll have $'s left over too...

New here. New to forums. Yikes. Could be trouble.

Welcome! Badger/Packer man here too, even though I long since opted for warmer climes... It seems to me that there's a kid up in Waukesha that gets around the table pretty well… 😁

Yep. You'll find the exact same thing at most golf clubs. I never played in the senior flights even though I was eligible simply because it was much easier to be competitive in the open divisions...

    11'' Jumper Shafts

For whatever it's worth, one of the characteristics of a good jump cue is very light weight. Usually with a pretty forward balance. Adding a short shaft to a 15 ounce butt strikes me as something that probably wouldn't work very well at all... I admit, just out of curiosity, I'd be...
