I Suspect That There Are Aliens Among Us, Posting As Earthlings

Also I find it interesting that with 7 posts and having very recently gotten off the bench and actually joined you already 6 rep boxes. Kind of points out the fallacy of the rep system doesn't it? When I joined years ago, I actually joined twice so I had an extra id I never used (this one). So about 3 weeks ago somebody stated how easy it is to get rep now, so I dragged this id out of the closet and started using it with no posts and no rep. It took 2 weeks to get a full compliment of green boxes without trying. When I first joined the other id took 6 months to a year to acheive the same level. Interesting experiment. The experiment is over, but I think I'll keep using this id.
Here's the problem with your experiment. I've been on AZB since its beginning and like you, it took a long while to accumulate green boxes and Rep points. After 5 or 6 years, I had a total of 58 points.
Over the past 2-3 years, AZB doubled (or tripled) it's Member base and the number of people giving Rep grew proportionately.
I, and many other longtime members of AZB now have many thousands of Rep points. It took me about 8 years to accumulate my total, but now it is what it is.
In the past day or two, a new poster named GUS made a post and had one green box, I gave him Rep one time and he jumped from 1 green box to 8 green boxes. I am not alone. There are now over 300 members that have maxed out their green boxes at 11.
Good Rep from any of the members on Page 1 will now give a newcomer more than one or two green boxes.
AZB has grown, it's Membership has grown and the amount of Rep has grown accordingly. Such is life.

A better experiment might be to determine what type of life form Eddie Wheat is..... imo

(now, I'm afraid to give Saggy any Rep)
