Hi..am hoping for a little help from all the great AZ ers on here. (Does that sound like a** kissing ? lol ) Anyways, years ago (about 23-25) I bought a Meucci Black Knight (I'm pretty sure that was the name), and was wondering if anybody had any info, or maybe even had one. I'm getting kinda nostalgic lately, and would love to find another one. I also had a Meucci that had a ton of green and white in it..with chain links at the bottom, and I cant find that one either...lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you remember/know if the Black Knight was a standard Meucci model? Can you describe the cue? I seem to remember a cue that was sold through Mueller's (Cornhusker Billiards at the time) that may have been marketed under that name.

The white/green cue with the chain links was an old Meucci Original that was from a line endorsed by Jimmy Rempe. I don't recall it having his name on the buttcap as other earlier Rempe Meucci's did, but I do remember the cue because of the chain links in the boxes in the buttsleve. Update: take a look at this link to the old Meucci brochure http://www.budgetcues.com/archive/meucci-jr-series.htm

cornhusker billiards did sell a meucci black knight cue sometime around 1986 or so. it was on the cover of one of their catalog cover sheets. i think it was around $130-$150 at the time and was a cornhusker exclusive model.

ragbug74, lefty84, and nwtflogan...thanks for the info...I really appreciate it. I found the green one with the chain links..its a model m-11 (brings back memories) ( i was a little boozed up one night after winning some money and drinking for free at a local establishment..got into my cool Trans-am..pulled away smokin the tires..looked back in the side view mirror, and watched in horror as my m-11 meucci went sliding down the road !!! Case was busted wide open, and cue looked like it went thru a washing machine full of ball bearings. I had forgotten it was on the roof of the car when I was unlocking the door on said "cool Trans-am". ) Valuable lesson learned back then...lol. Anyways, nwtflogan..the "black knight" I am refering to had a darker stained forearm with 4 white points, and the butt (solid white) was very distinctive because it went sorta high (almost twice as high as a regular meucci), and reminded me of a thoroughbred horses leg when they tape em up real high for racing. Wish I still had that cue (sigh). I have since elevated my game to Richard Black status cues..but kinda miss them old ones. Thanks for the help guys.

I still have my Black Knight! I purchased it from the Cornhusker catalog back in the day. Yes, it was an exclusive model for them only. The Cornhusker/Muecci relationship broke up shortly after the cue was released, making it quite the collector's item.

What sold me on the the cue was that it was a 4-point Muecci in the $200 range! The only other $200 cues they offered were all 2-Point.

About 7-8 years ago I sent it off to Muecci to get refinished (15 years of wear and tear on it). I also had a red-dot shaft made for it as well as an extra standard shaft.

Although it is not my main cue anymore, it still holds a sacred place in my cue collection!

For all the naysayers, here is the ad that takes care of your doubts. This is a current ad on the back of the APA magazine handed out at the singles championships in Vegas.
The BLACK KNIGHT came out in 1986. There was a white and a black.
