I actually like where the one is at thats why I would choose my second option if its open.
To me the big trouble is that I cant get out unless I move the 3-6 which opens the 11. If I could figure out a way to make those out it would be nice. Thats why with BIH I think going for the break out is best. Most decent to good players will be able to pocket the 4 and either split the gap or hit into the 11.
One thing is for sure... there is not clear cut one shot answer to this one. It could be a series of moves like your talking about.
Maybe later tonight I can set this one up and check it out live. I find that the Cuetable makes things appear much easier.
BTW-- sorry to hear about the other room closing in NY. I imagine rent is terrible for a room there.
Bear in mind, I'm also right-handed. These balls on the rail pose a REAL problem for me. I'm also VERY confident in my moves-game. I'm simply going to look at stripes, determine where my opponent is going to need the cueball to run out and make sure I don't give him that. In the process, I'm going to carefully begin to move my balls away from that rail.
