The guy who does my tips got some Sumo's to try out. I was thinking of trying one on my 314 shaft. Has anyone tried Sumo's before ?
Sumo are a single layered tip. I used to use them a few yrs back, but the last couple i tried were very brittle and chipped on me. Then i found the SuperPros and never looked at Sumos again.
If you like hard tips then try one, but if you like the tip that your 314 came with, then this is not the tip for you.
Thanks Joe. I know they are a hard tip. I use a 314 1st gen & have used lepro tips for a long time. I was looking to try something different as I have heard a lot say on here they get a lot more english out of a harder tip.
I've tried Sumos and SuperPros after talking with QBilder.
I prefer the SuperPro. The Sumos worked well but you do have to stroke the CB. If you don't stroke you will punch the CB with unpredictable results.
I found the same thing with the SuperPro but it is a little more forgiving on the mishit.
