Hello,

New user here, sorry if this is in the wrong location, I wasn't sure where to put it. Since it is not for sale as of yet, I stayed away from the for sale section.

I have a Brunswick Gold Crown III I want to sell and am unsure how much I should ask for it. I don't want to ask too much I just want what is fair.

I will try and post a few pictures of it. It has been in my house for a couple of years and it just doesn't get used, I figured the kids would use it, but they didn't. When it was installed, I had new cloth put on. It has seen less than 50 games of 8 and 9 ball since it was put in the cellar.

I would appreciate any and all information.

Thanks,

dave

Nice table, has some wear and tear but most do. GCIII's generally go in the 1200-2000 range depending on the condition, but 1500 would generally be a price that would move the table relatively quickly. What kind of cloth is on the table? Some people are sticklers about cloth and will only use simonis 860/860HR, so that could potentially affect the value.

I cant remember, but that sounds familiar. I do know it was an upgraded cloth that I purchased with the table.
Doesn't matter you will need a very unique buyer that would like the red color.:frown:

$1,000 is best i would pay!!!!

As far as selling it goes, you'll probably have better luck locally. The costs associated with shipping the table and commissioning someone to set it up will substantially increase the cost of the table, unless you're willing to take a loss on it. With that being said, there's also the risk of a hack-job table mechanic messing the table up and then disappearing because he's hundreds of miles away from you.

The table needs cleaning up but that is easy enough to do. I would suggest that you clean it yourself to save money and increase the value. Clean the aprons and get all the crud off before advertising it for sale. Use matching stain to cover blemishes in the wood. I agree that your best bet is to sell it locally. If you can run an inexpensive Ad in your local paper that may work. There are always people who know what a Brunswick Gold Crown is.

That is still a very good pool table, better than many new "home style" tables that are sold by retailers for $2,000 and up. It's hard to beat a Gold Crown for playability. Cleaned up it is well worth $1,500. Whoever buys it will probably just replace the red cloth. I know I would.

I've sold many tables over the years with local newspaper Ads. It works if the price is right. If you can throw in the balls, triangle, cue rack and a few cues that's even better. You probably won't need that light either anymore.

That table actually looks like it is in pretty good condition. It may not even be a "poolroom" table. It may have been in a private home all these years.

Thanks Jay, I guess I just want it gone so the thought of cleaning it up isn't very appealing. I have listed it for sale on this site for $1500. I will go give it a scrub though so it looks a bit better, then I can change the pictures I have attached to the add. Again, thanks for the advice.

 Do I see red chalk!!!!???? Sorry that had to be mentioned lol

As for the table goes, everyone has given you the right price range for a GCIII, good luck with selling.
