pool in Philly?

Coming down Apr 10-12, hoping to find somewhere to play or possibly a weekend tournament.

Any suggestions welcome.

Check out Tacony Billiards...Some of the regulars their will give you a nice game..Im not that good..so I wont be much of a challenge for you...:o

Drexel-line Billiards, Tacony Billiards are the places to go. Lots in South Jersey as well, don't know where you will be. Think the Green Room in Maple Shade, or Hot Shot Billiards in Deptford, NJ.

Where are you staying? In the city, or close to it outside? I work in they city, but live and play in South New Jersey. Lots of places to play, and I know a few that do have tournaments.

Heck, if you get into a jamb, offaxis you and I can get together and maybe make up one whole pool player if we combine skills!
 
I think Im staying right downtown Philly. I will confirm when I book to the area though.

Let me know if you are looking for any recommendations as far as bars or restaurants. There a lot of them popping up in my area (I work in Northern Liberties section of Philly).

BTW...what are you in town for, if you don't mind me asking?

The Mrs and I have the same weekend off so I wanted to get away. I have a friend in the area. Thinking of hitting the 76ers game on Friday night, maybe a bar or something. Heard the Duck tour is interesting for people who havent been there before. Have to run the Rocky steps!
 
If you go to Drexelline Billiards, which would be a great choice, don't ask Bob whether he's related to Bernie Madoff. Bob spells his last name Maidhof.
