World Championship One-Cushion

In three weeks, from Thurs., April 30 through Sun., May 3, the one-cushion world championship will be held in Cervera, Spain about 50 miles from Barcelona.

I know it's still some time off, but I just learned today that it will be streamed live. The main site (in English) is http://www.billarcervera.cat/indexeng.php.

The players list and table times are already available. Key players include Jean-Paul De Bruijn (NL), Frederic Caudron (BE), Xavier Gretillat (CH), and Henri Tilleman (NL). Table times listed are Central European Summer Time which is six hours ahead of EDT (and nine hours ahead of PDT).

I can't wait to be there. I'll try to give my impressions as the tournament goes on.
 
Is Kozoom covering this event? I ask because hopefully the make a dvd of this tournament. I have the Kozoom DVD with DeBrujin and Caudron and the french guy. I always watch Xavier's one cushion videos on you tube, I hope he wins.

Dean,

I see nothing on the Kozoom site to indicate that they are the ones covering this event.

No they won't be there unfortunately. Espana is too much!
 
I tried it with two different browser programs and got the same results as you fellas did.
 
The link worked yesterday. Either the server is overloaded or they are blocking overseas users. Maybe we'll get something from our European friends. A proxy, please.

I got thru to the web page but when I click on the live feed for a table all I get is commercial for some region of Spain.:frown:

Play would have been finished for the day by 1 PM PDT. We will try again tomorrow when play begins at 2 AM PDT.

day one is over. No big surprises. Except for the averages, which are not that high. I'm guessing the big guns did not take out their whole artillery yet. Today is the final day for qualification, there should be some great matches. The place where the tournament is held is in the chapel of the old university of Cervera. It's simply magic! What a nice venue. And this town is great and the landscape around is just so beautiful.
On the funny side, I have 3 players in this tournament that I sponsor (Caudron, Gretillat and Daske) and they all ended up in the same pool of 4 players. I guess I have a good chance of seeing 2 of them get out for the final phase though. I hope you all get the stream working today.
 
Now that play is over for the day the Live Stream page is showing life. Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Hi!!

I'm from Cervera and today I've been there! well, as I've seen, if you want to watch it, you have to go at "live" and click at the day you want, if there doesn't apear anything, try the day before (I don't know why) and there there are 4 pc screens called, "taula1", "taula2", "taula3" and "taula4" (taula=table). If you click on them you'll see it in live.

When the matches are finished, the web doesn't work, I think it's because they're updating it.

Well, if you need anything, you only have to ask!

Thank you. I hadn't thought to look at a different day or time. Maybe the matches were available today after all.
