heres a burnisher i painted in the name of....before the bend in the middle of course just so u can see both sides.

just wanted to know that im still busting my butt on cases and ive been trying to reply to everyones emails and answer all phone calls and questions that you all may have. i know your all jonesing for pics and when i get all these pockets constructed you will see case after case come out day by day. almost everyones is tooled and dyed, except for a few that i am using python on or if any painting is required. i do the painting at night so i can use my time during the day to be loud and bang on things :o) Thanks for everyones support and patience. if you need to ask me something feel free to call or pm me and if i forgot to answer anyones questions im sorry ive been trying to keep track of everyone and work on cases too. when i get a website i will post color options and other options and that will answer most of the questions that i get, but for now let me know if you need anything and thanks again.....

I just wanted everyone to know I just got off the phone with Chaz I had some questions about making a pocket and he made me a diagram on how to cut and fold the pockets and gave me an explanation over the phone. He is a class act and dont hesitate to do buisness with him.

thanks. i wanted to let everyone know that i am continually working on cases and that im sorry for the delay. once i switched to hand stitching it has drastically pushed back alot of my turnover times. i will try and get emails to everyone in the next few days on the progress of their cases with pics.

as many of u that i have spoke with know that i try and make things as custom as possible. pocket size, tooling, etc.....i do not have any pre fab'd or pre dyed leather waiting. i tool and dye everything to your specs and cut pocket sizes to your specs also. im sure that justis has made alot of pre fab'd and dyed leather around and when u order it he puts your name on another piece of leather and attatches it most of the time. i can do that method also but i try to match colors to what your looking for as much as possible and have made many trips to find just the right colors for everyone and hardware etc....your cases start from scratch and im trying to create a true custom, ive never been a cookie cutter type of person so if u want the strap on the left, back, no strap, shoulder pad, no pockets, or 4 pockets, 32" cues. i try and do it all. this has left me with some extra time that i have spent on each persons case..ill get some emails out to everyone just incase you miss this message and once again thanks for your patience...call me if u need anything.

thanks

Chaz I feel you but it's quite unfair to imply that you are somehow better because you start from scratch. Let's say that Jack did have a bunch of leather pieces that are colored and tooled waiting to be made into cases who do you think did that tooling and coloring? He did. I can't speak for Jack but I doubt that he ties up leather inventory tooling and dying it in advance on the speculation that someone will order just that color and tooling pattern. I am pretty sure Jack starts from scratch and uses templates to cut his parts just as you will too if you don't already.

Now, Jack has his way to build cases that essentially limit the choices to what he offers. Within those choices he builds a LOT of FINE CASES.

If you are truly making "custom" cases then you are making a brand new pattern every time. You aren't doing that and charging just $250 a case and expecting to make a real profit at this.

I don't have any problem with you talking up your cases but please try to stick to facts. Everyone knows I have had my differences with Jack but he is a great man and a great case maker. You and I both have a LONG LONG LONG way to go to reach the level of elegance and clean workmanship that Jack builds every time. Also if you really study Justis cases as I have you will rarely see two that are the same.

And in the end it doesn't matter anyway. Today the billiard world lost a true saint. Who really cares about what we think about freaking cue cases? The little round 1x2 case for $20 is stronger and better than anything we build.

i don't see where he said he was "better"

he also never said that jack wasn't a good guy, or that jack didn't build a great case.

I'm not looking for an argument here, i just don't see where chas says the things, that you imply he did.

P.s. I feel chaz shouldn't mention any other custom case maker in his posts.....earn your stripes, before you start sticking your nose out. But i just don't see where he said what you are implying.

It doesn't matter. Whatever, pre-fab, China, this guys does hand stitiching, that guy does machine stitching who the hell cares? Honestly Marcus I could care less anymore. All this goddamn ****ing knocking of other people has to stop. I have just spent 18 years of my life standing on a pedastal built on one stupid feature - the fact that I added a little bit of foam rubber inside the tube. I don't care anymore. Today a man was murdered because he stood up for something that mattered. Chas knows what he was saying and if you read between the lines you can see it too. But it doesn't ****ing matter. Just do whatever you think you have to do to get by, get over, get ahead... I am out of it.

go woof at somebody else........

I understand your angry and upset, but swearing at people isn't going to make it better, or change anything that happened.

Be constructive, not destructive.

I am sorry for the loss to the pool world, but i wouldn't swear at people over it for no reason. You want to have a real discussion, cool, but i'm not bringing myself to this level.

I am not swearing at you Marcus. Sorry that you see it that way. Chaz I am sorry for jumping into your thread. Maybe you just remind me of myself and I'd like to not see you go down that path.

I think that you have a ton of potential and can end up being a great case maker. You and several others here are a breath of fresh air on the case making scene. To parapharase Fast Eddie, "watching you is like watching a home movie".

Anyway I am pretty upset about Edwin and it's spilling over where it shouldn't. Again my apologies for butting into your thread. Criticism aside, I do like what you are doing with the colors and the painting of the names.

Keep up the good work!

i didnt mean it like i think u took it...im just saying that i start from scratch when i get the order. he starts from scratch too just before me becuase he knows that tomorrow someone will buy anything that he finishes today. thats all....jb u should already know i wouldnt say anything to disrespect anyone on here on purpose.

thanks
chaz
