Are these really made by Ron?

Here are the pictures. There are too many pm and i cannot handle them one at the time.

The second picture shows where the rivet has fallen off. the button down strap was replace because it completely fell off. The latch was held together with tape which the seller said he did not notice it.............

For sale!
Price: Shipping.
Criteria: If for any reason you decide not to repair and use it you will have to ship it to the next person that wanted it. We will have to go by honor system here. Hopefully there is still some honor in the pool world.

My timing is a little screwed here. Its 4am in the morning! Just got back from the movies watching Star Trek! Not bad not bad.

Ok, thought i just give it till tomorrow for the people to respond.

Then i will go by the order with which i received the PM expressing interest.

I hope that is ok. I am on the other side of the world so maybe communication timing is a little off.

You guys have fun.. I'm just gonna back out of this thread here. It is a very nice offering to give a free case but one should do what they say.

are you kidding.... He replied to me, in a thread i started..... You guys tried to get him to give it to you, instead of the person he originally offered it to, and than you try to make him feel bad? Not cool
 
I think its getting out of hand... Nice old case, many of which I believe Ron Thomas would fix for a reasonable price. Like Marcus was saying in his other thread, he wants something to experiment with. I'm interested in seeing what kind of work he will accomplish out of it. Though keep in mind as I found out sadly, the older this style of case gets then the more brittle the plastic becomes.

Would love to find someone to rewrap a well used 1st Generation McDermott Super Mac case that I have and refinish the wooden end caps...

I know of your situation. We spoke in a PM. He told me that if you didn't want the case that he would give it to me.

Then this thread here about giving the case away made no sense if he already offered it to you and then I was next in line.

So I said it is a nice thought to give the case away but one should do as they say.

Meaning he should give the case to you if that was the original offer or then on to me as he told me if you didn't want it.

It looks like a mess that shouldn't have happened so I said I'll just get out of the way, Take me off the back list for it.

Making the guy feel bad was no where intended.

So "not cool" of you to try and make me look bad when you didn't understand what I was meaning.

No harm no foul.. I don't even care about this. No hard feelings.. and it's still a great thing he is doing no matter which one of you gets it.

I think this is all a misunderstanding.

I responded to Marcus thread as i have one lying around that i have no use for but apparently that attracted some interest with a lot of people getting interested in it and asking for pictures and all that. So i started a thread and added pictures here. I thought that in doing so i would be able to respond to everyone at the same time.

You know. I frequent another forum where people seems to be much happier. They give away things that they don't need, help each other out. Things like that.

Sometimes a simple intention can become so wrong. I apologize if i created this misunderstanding.
 
Its a good gesture, just a misunderstanding. Hopefully everything will be cleared up.
