Pool table light

Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a 4' fluorescent light to put over our pool table. Since we're renting, I can't hardwire it, so I need a plug-in light. We don't want to spend a bunch of money on a fancy light either, we just want something practical. My question is should I get a 4 bulb or a 2 bulb 4' fluorescent light? The ceiling is about 7' 6" if that helps. Any suggestions for how much light I need?
Thank!

How big is the table? Wal Mart has an inexpensive T8 2-tube shop light for under $10.00. Get the tubes from home depot or lowes.

That would probably be important....8' The more I read on here, it sounds like I need either 2 8' bulbs or 2 sets of 2 x 4' bulbs end to end. Any thoughts?
