Quick Clean Causing Problem?

Hi All

Just a quick note to say what a great forum this is. I've found it to be very informative, and I've learned a lot. However, I've read through a bunch of different threads, and haven't found anything on my specific problem, so here goes:

I own a Bar & Grill with 2 x 8' and 1 x 7' valley tables. We wanted to upgrade from regular bar cloth as we run a league and have some good players. It was recommended that we go with Tour Edition worsted cloth as a good compromise between playability and durability in a bar setting. First question, was this a good recommendation?

Anyways, we did upgrade to the Tour Edition cloth along with brand new rails. Now I am not and expert, but I can play the game fairly well, and I was really happy with things at first. To me the cloth was tight, and the tables played really well. Then, after a 3 day tournament, we used quick clean. Within seconds of applying a light spray, the cloth immediately started to become very loose. You could see bubbles and ridges everywhwere. I was horrified, but to my relief it tightened up again within about 15 minutes or so. Then the cloth felt great, tight, and very clean, just like new. But we've now found that the longer we go without using Quick Clean, the looser the cloth becomes, until it becomes unplayable. If we apply Quick Clean, it tightens back up, although it does leave a few very small bubbles by the side pockets.

So, is this normal for Quick Clean? Is that stuff like a chiropractor, once you use it, you HAVE to keep using it? Or is it bad cloth? Or a bad installation? Or a combination of all those? Thanks for your help!

I have been using quick clean regularly for over a year with no problems, I have simonis 860 on my table.

I think your choice in cloth is good. However I don't like the quick clean product, the more you use it it will start to turn your cloth yellow. I think your problem is do to the installation. In general, the cloths that perform better are harder to install. I use 30/30 tour edition on bar tables on monday. I stretched the cloth side to side 4.5" on a 7 foot table. All championship cloth have alot of stretch, if your not used to this it could be easy to understretch.
