New Diamond Table at Kolby's

Well yesterday it arrived from Vegas, this table is the TV table from the Predator 10 Ball that just took place in Vegas so some of the best players in the world have played on it. I have to say the table has found a good home at Kolby's and I played on it from 2am until about 7am, it plays great like Diamonds do and snugger then I thought it would as it seems tighter then 4.5 inches, perhaps it is. The table still has the dots on it for the Laser rack that was used in Vegas but we have no Laser rack! Besides the table they got a Diamond ball cleaner and light for the table. As most people know the the only place with Diamonds is Sweet Tooth and Skip and Jan's but the ones at Skip and Jan's are older and pretty beat unfortunately so it is great to have one at the best action room in Arizona. Click on the link for the final rack of Orcullo and Souquet on the table in the Finals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0RKJdIYofw

Cool now they just need 10 more :)

Jimmy really likes the table so who knows where it might lead. I still like all the Gold Crowns in there except for the 4 drop pocket tables that are left, the rest of the tables in there are all very good. :)

I can't stand the way the tables there are shimmed. The way they are shimmed makes the balls do un-natural things. There is no doubt he should keep the gold crowns if he has them all fixed properly. Extend the rails and not shim them and then make all the pockets the same size. By that I mean all the corner pockets on each individual table should be the same size. If he doesn't fix the gold crowns properly then he should just get rid of them. It would probably be cheaper to fix them then it is to buy all Diamonds.

Which tables do you feel are bad? I have played on them all, the back row all seem to play very well, the drop pockets are buckets so I cant stand them, 6 and 7 seem to play good.

A lot of them are bad imo. By bad I mean that the shims are not installed right or they have come loose. They look like steps and when you hit a ball into them the ball actually comes off the table. This happens A LOT in the side pockets especially. My table at home NEVER does that but maybe my table is set up wrong. The back row either table 14 or 15 some of the pockets have deeper shelves then the others do and they are not the same size. 16 plays good and so does 7 for the most part.
