i found this rosewood at an antique table restorers shop. he told me that it came from an old billiard supply house from the late 1800'S. this brazillian rosewood is almost black, but under strong light [ see last photo ] you can see the dark red.
the cue is 18.6 oz. the butt is one solid piece, with no weight bolt. the shaft came from the same place and is made of an old brunswick one piece from the 1920'S very dense, and the color of honey. the joint and butt cap are elk horn. the shaft has no ferrule just the pad and a 13 mm moori tip.
the pin is 1/2 by 8 inch and treated by me to last a lifetime. if you buy this cue and after a few racks decide its not for you, just return in same condition for a full and prompt refund.
the cue is $400.00 delivered.
btw there was a mixup on the last cue i sold here, i got a pm to buy the cue. but before i saw the pm i got a phone call and sold it to the caller.
i will sell it only to the first person who answers this thread.
thanks for the interest in my cues. chuck starkey
