Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I would like a copy of the "Freeloader" book, please. Autograph it for me Mikey.

Buddy you need a different book autographed and signed to you...maybe a DVD of any Sharon Stone movie perhaps. Haha JK making light out of the BS. Yeah my avatar kicks silverback gorilla ass. It's just appropriate because I never pay my dues and expect everything to be handed to me for free. I feel like the duct tape bandit right about now.

I am thinking possibly cheap night, $50 toward slots, $50 toward pai gow or black jack, $50 on the wheel, $50 on 3 card poker or other...hmm...might be fun.

If you are gonna go let me know, I like to play Pai Gow and make crazy plays while doing it. I never budget I just spend it til its gone. I like slots the most for whatever reason, never won any significant money except that Wheel of Fortune Progressive pots I smashed open in Vegas last year. I put a 100 into this video WOF machine with progressive pots and bet the max. First spin spelled W-H-E-E-L, I busted all 3 of the Progressives open for almost $7k. After that spin I almost made it back to even. Haha.

What's pai gow? I know, I'm just not up on all the cool stuff. Us hillbillies don't get out much.

It's an asian poker game I believe. They deal you 7 cards and you have to put together a 5 card high hand and a 2 card low hand. If both of your hands beat what the dealer gets you are a winner. if you win 1 and lose the other you push and if you lose both you lose the hand. Most hands end in a push so you can bet high in this game without worrying as much. Lots of bonuses you can bet on as well. Fun game.

Way too much thinking involved here. I like to just play one hand and go all in. If I win I quit, lose and quit. Even if it's just the blinds, I still do the airplane around the table and then quit.

And when you win the dealer goes big winna chicken dinna! I don't roll with a 1-2K in my pocket so I would be probably willing to spend a couple hundy...I will think about it and let you know if I am going.

do they count the Ace as high, low, or both?

I haven't played it forever so Frost will have to verify, but I think it can be both. If i remember right the cool thing is you can have the guy next to you tell you how you should play your hand and they don't care. This was at least the way it was years ago when I played out there...not sure if it is still the same.

Craw I live my whole life all in, I like to go all in. I usually go all in on my last hand no matter what, yes that includes my buy in! I tend to favor the fencing dance over the ever popular airplane dance on a win. Sometimes I do the kayak too or imitate a dead lift Olympic style!

Ingle you bet ya the Ace plays H/L. Gets tricky though cuz it can only be played low for a straight. So for instance if this is your hand A-2-3-4-J-Q-K your low hand can't be A-Q it has to be K-Q and play the other 5 cards A high.

Spimp give me a heads up of at least an hour, I'll let you know. I planned on chugging Mexican Beer for several hours then shaking my groove thing somewhere but gamblin works too.

So A-2 would be the best low hand then, correct?

The table can help you however it has to be done in a way to not tip off the dealers hand because there are multiple ways you can play your cards. So the people that help you play a hand must have already played their hand and put their cards down, then they can show you the way if you want them too.
