Meucci Black Dot Shafts

I have played with Meucci cues for around 20 years and I currently own 3 older ones and now a newer one. I've been wondering about the black dot shafts for a while now and the recent Meucci I got came with two. A couple of days ago, I spent about 3 hours shooting with the new Meucci and I have to say, the black dot shafts do make a difference. With long shots, especially on a 9 ft table, it is much easier to control the cue ball and not miss due to deflection. I didn't notice any difference at all whether the black dot was up or not when shooting and I stopped looking after about 10 minutes.

Anybody else had a similar experience with old and new Meucci's or black dot shafts?

I played with one a few years ago to compare the Black Dot to the Predator. Outplayed the Pred. by a mile. Didn't play any better than my custom, though, so I sold it.
I didn't pay any attention to where the dot was.

The black dot shaft is laminated so I'd suspect you would notice a difference.
Playing with the dot up is supposed to be the position of least measured deflection in that particular shaft.

i own several meuccis and i have put many different tips on my black dots and none of them hit as well as my red dot or original shafts with a quality layered medium tip. I understand the hype over deflection i just dont like a shaft that has a stiff brick like hit
