looking for pics of grey stained maple cues

I saw one with lots of veneer work yesterday that I liked alot, and I was interested to see if anyone has pictures of cues with this type of wood finish on it. it was a lighter grey stain where you could really see the figure in the wood well... very cool. Would be interested in finding out who would be the best at making a plain jane cue with this finish.

Also, would staining the shaft in the same manner affect playability?

A friend of mine owns this Palmer Plain Jane I won from Doubledave.

I think it looks pretty sweet, we call it the Green Fairy :D
 
McDermott has choices . . .

I've seen a lot of their gray finish (titanium, platinum, pewter, etc.) cues and they look pretty nice . . . play well . . .great warranty . . . and are very affordable.

Here's an example: $151.20 at Seyberts.

Here's mine.I really like the grey stain.Give's my cue the marble look.
