any body:confused: know who won I was there yesterday saw lot of good pool was really disapointed in earl thought for a world champion and hall of famer he acted like a punk cry babby

I heard it came down to Johnny and Stevie...but I don't know who won.
Steve

kim lost to nevel to go out and putnum lost to stevie to go out. stevie beat nevel at almost a hill-hill match, nevel rattled the 10 in the game that woulda made it hill-hill to loose the match. schmidt lost to archer on the winners side to then face stevie. schmidt made two amazing masse shots, but it wasnt enough. stevie was shooting lights out and won out like 9-4 or so to face archer.

archer won over stevie 11-7.

everyone was playing phenonimoly.

In order for me to be disappointed, I have to have some kind of expectation. When it comes to Earl, I can assure you that I would not have been disappointed because sadly, I expect him to act like that. The only thing that will surprise me when it comes to Earl is if he were to conduct himself in a professional, good sportsman like manner for a whole tournament. :frown:

Earl dump off 2 matches he lost to Jaimison ,by wacking the remainder ball in the with his stick. and i think earl was winning. And the next match one loser side earl was down 6 to 4 , Earl got up quit the match by hitting the balls with his stick and walked out the poolroom and got in his car and was out..
I don't know whats is going on with him but i guess that what happens when you were the best player in the world back in the day . . I hope no one else truns out like that..

No there are and have been many in the same position as Earl, in many sports-No one acts like Earl cept Earl and the thing that separates him in my mind is that even the next day or week, with benefit of hindsight, Earl will 9 out of 10 times continue to believe he was correct and acted reasonably given the circumstances.

Don't feel bad, Jamison, that was a tough field. There was only a couple/three people in the field that you might have been favored against.

I don't think that was meant as a knock on you, as much as recognizing the number of world class players there. There is a pretty good way of getting a feel for your odds in any tournament...pay attention at the calcutta. When some players are going for several hundred, and some are going for ten, it's not personal...it's just a fact.

It was good to see you down there, and glad we had a chance to talk for a few minutes.

Take it easy, my friend. Will be seeing you around, I'm sure.

OK???Hey I started a thread that is titled Jamison Neu if you want to go there and put something like your opinion there. I am not the Gem city Classic Johnny Archer was this time. I wasn't trying to Eric either. We alwasy give each other crap in nearly everyone of my threads or his and we are laughing together or even at each other.

I am glad you came down to support the event we can use more diehard fans fans like you at the big events Steve. Hope I see you at the next one.

You know as well as anyone that I will be at every event when I can work it into my schedule. I just can't get enough of this game!

I'm sure you had a good time. I would have loved to have been able to play. I probably would have been 2 and out, but I've never not had a good time when I was playing pool. It's what keeps up coming back again and again.

See ua, bud!
