Any Pool Players in Cleburne Texass?

until i can find a suitable home in florida, i'm stuck in crappy cleburne, texass, hoping to find some serious pool players. it's very frustrating for me because the local "tournaments" are "bar table rules" which aren't really rules at all. you know, ball behind the headstring on a scratch and no safety play..... so no more of that nonsense for me. i'm hoping to find some serious, local players who understand the fine points of the game.
 
Your not that far from Rusty's in Ft. Worth! It's a great place to play. They have a bar table tournament Aug. 9th BCA rules. If your looking for action, tournaments, or just a friendly place to play. Tracie is the manager and she will make you feel at home.
 
I dated a girl that lived in Joshua...the next town over. I hadda drive to DFW to find decent 9' equipment. Florida will be here when your ready, good luck!!!

I spent some time in Alvarado and also had to go to Ft. Worth to play on 9 ft equipment which was difficult to find because they like to play on 8 footers out in TX.

I live in Mansfield, not that far away from you, but I refuse to shoot with anyone who butchers up the name of my great state by putting two esses on the end of the spelling of it and not capitalizing it ;):D:D:D.

Also, your typing reeks of Travis Trotter :D:D:D.

On a more serious note, what Papa Red said is about the best advice you're gonna get. Rusty's = nice poolhall/good action.

P.S. Cleburne is crappy only if you are looking for serious pool action, otherwise it's a typical small town in Texas with good people and good food. There's a LOT of history in those parts too if you're interested.

Just remember your in Texas, it's an hour just to go across city's here. I live at the Oklahoma border and drive to Dallas & Ft. Worth to play. But check out the tournament Aug.9, Tracie has free food for the players and about 40-50 players entered.
 
An hour is nothing. People in Texas and Oklahoma think nothing of driving an hour to go to lunch (or dinner, as we always called it when I was growing up).

Agree with ya there Maniac - travelled many times to Cleburne back in the 70's when I was in the Textile Industry visiting our client Walls Industries which was run back then by George Walls and his son Sam - two of the nicest people you'd ever meet and as for the food - well let's just say that till this day I've never had better barbecue than I had there - Jackson:thumbup2:
