Chat and feed question

Does anyone think that the presence of chat takes away from the commentators job on the actual match.

People come in the match room and ask scores of matches, who is where in the money, etc. and the commentators can't talk about the match because there is a new person every few seconds wanting to know the scores.

Some commentators need the chat to have something to talk about during the racking times and breaks. But when a commentator spends too much time trying to answer question from the Chat it does take away from the flow of the action on the table.

I like the chat. It's the interactive nature of internet streaming that differentiates it from television.

As far as someone wanting the score every couple of minutes, that is usually handled by others on the board. The commentators can update after each game. And more and more streams have the score on a crawl. At the WPBA in San Diego some of the pros would come on and commentate. It was nice to be able to ask them questions. They respond to the ones they want to or they think are good questions or that otherwise catch their eye fore whatever reason.

Commentators I like discuss:

1. The match, strategy, techniques and equipment of players.
2. During breaks or in between games answers chat questions.

Commentators I don't like discuss:
1. Who had dinner with who and other unrelated pool matters not pertinent to the match.

2. "The player has several options" (doesn't explain any of them).

3. "Commentators say they will be commentating but spend the entire match not commentating.

I think a match runs to fast (probably not enough time) but I would like to hear commentary where the pro and amateur options (not every shot but for some situations that have time) are mentioned. There are times where it is the pro option because they have the stroke but an amateur could play another shot.
