Hi i noticed on a lot of pool matches that every player can reach any ball on the table even if they are not tall. Hardly they use the bridge or the disadvanteg hand. I'm 5-8 ( i know i'm shortish ) and i have serious problems about stretching on the table... if a ball is in the center of the table and it is at the height of the first diamond after the side pocket i reach it with difficulty. I don't know how tall is alex pagulayan ( but he looks very short ) but he seems like he can reach the same balls of mine..
Which could be the reason?
thank you, sorry for my english and for the silly question.

.

The pros almost never get in bad position. If you ever watch Efren he plays left handed shots all the time...he is so good you don't even notice.

I'm 5'10 and I know I'm average for height but I have some trouble with shot , people that play me think I'm crazy for shooting left handed shots and behind the back shot but when you have to pull these tricks out they are used full .

Just keep practicing .

Alex is a complete player with lots of talent. He like many champions have made do with what he has by practicing the things that he would normally have difficulty with.

Purchasing a cue extension like the Longoni Extender is a nice addition for reaching some shots. Practice shooting opposite handed.

Like someone else mentioned, often you will not even be paying attention and the pro will make a quick shift to their opposite hand to make a shot and by the time they chalk you will not even notice them going back to their regular hand shooting.

Do you miscue or do you simply hit the cue ball with less power, coming up short on your shape?

You could of course learn to use the dreaded bridge.

JoeyA (going to practice shooting opposite handed this week for a couple of hours)

thanks for the reply.
No I simply can't reach the ball confortably....and the possibility of miscueing are higher. How tall is pagulayan?
