Well I'll try to be short and to the point here. I had/have a problem with my Olhausen Pro table. Posted a question and of course the members here as always rose to the occasion and gave me their help and thoughts. RKC even went so far as to offer for me to call him to further discuss a solution to the problem. I did try calling and got voicemail and left a message for him to call me back at his liesure (of course I'm not expecting him to call me as I'm the one with the problem not him) thinking...well I'll just try back again tomorrow right? Well he called the very next day and I was really blown away. Let me explain.
I would have NEVER have believed he is so down to earth. No cockiness, no short quick responses. Just a good hearted guy who has an absolute passion for the profession ya'll share. When you can talk to someone and in less than 5 minutes you feel like you're talking to a friend, then you know what kind of person they are. What I expected to be a 30 second conversation ended up being more like a 1/2 hour conversation with quite a few laughs envolved. Thanks again Glen!
This is not to say that I haven't had that same experience with other members here also. EVERYONE I have personally spoke with either by messages or phone has proven themselves more than worthy to be a contributing member here and are as we say here down South are " Good people!" I really feel bad that I can't help out on the same level as 99.9% of the people here but I still enjoy reading all of the posts. Maybe some day I'll be able to do more.
Again. Thanks to everyone for the great help and a great forum!

He's doing my table at the moment.

Everything you said and more. An absolute perfectionist that can solve any problem in a heartbeat. And I never saw such crappy work as the guy whose mess on my GCII he's straightening out. Even the factory screwed things up on the table. And he's as down to earth a guy as can be for the level work he does.

Amazing what some attention to detail can do to solve so many problems....tables or not!
Mark another one up for the good guys!

Have to agree 100% I have spoken to Glen a couple of times and Dartman and OTLB and these guys always called me back and did more than just answer what they probably considered pretty simple questions. All of the input is greatly appreciated.

I appreciate Glen as well. He helped broker a great deal for me with diamond on my new table that I will be getting in a couple of months. I was going to settle for an older gold crown but now I am getting exactly what i wanted. Thanks Glen, oh if you come down to install it my offer on the Bar B Que still Stands!!!

RKC left a few hours ago.

I knew RealKingCobra did the best work based on his reputation but It's still hard to believe even after seeing it. Never would have guessed how many aspects of a table can be screwed up right from the manufacturer, from whoever worked on it afterward, from a reputable billiard table sales house (with its own crew of mechanics) who resold it to a friend of mine all the way down to the last people (highly recommended) who installed it in my house. Nobody even attempted to correct anything along the way, just slapped it together and moved it on. And there were major defects. Watched Glen straighten it out every step of the way. I doubt I'll ever look at a pool table the same way again. And one of the nicest guys I've ever met. This is a players table, not a toy anymore. Who knows. He may have ruined me and I will never be able to play anywhere except my basement again.

I have also drained many a cell phone battery talking to Glen. He is always busy but never gives you that impression when you talk to him. And it is not just pool and tables that he is a expert on, he is knowledgeable on just about everything. He also plays the game now and then and can hold his own:wink:.
