Has anyone heard of these? Big Kahuna cues made by this guy Fast Larry... A friend of mine told me about them, so i looked them up. He says some of them play like mcdermott's and others play like balabushka's. I have never heard of this guy or the cues. Was wondering if any of you knew anything about them?

It doesnt take very much searching on any pool related forum to find information on Fast Larry. Ill just say he has been kicked off of most of them :)

Maybe he is into building cues now. His thing before was always trick shot shows and teaching according to him. He may be having them made with his name on them, but I dont know as I have never heard of them.

JUST the mention of his name conjurs up all kinds of nasty images. I can still vividly remember his time here at AZ, not sure but think it was before Mr Wilson was moderating. FL is a real piece of work!!

Very true. Funny thing is, if you could make it through his long posts every once in a while he would say something that was worthy of discussion. But he got pulled off topic and became argumentative so quickly you could rarely get very far in the threads.

If it is some of those cue's on ebay, I think I saw some on there with that description and name, just beware you get what you pay for. If it's a cheap price it's cheap quality. You get what you pay for, if you wanna decent cue you got to pay for a decent cue. So beware of people stateing a cheap cue plays like a balabuska ! YEA RIGHT  NOT EVEN CLOSE !!:>>>ED

That would be putting it mildly. He was banned by the time I arrived, I think. But, I remember him well from the usenet newsgroup: rec.sport.billiard. There are few scumbags lower.

Wow! I didn't know he was that bad. Well thank you all for the insight, i wont buy anything from him...

Cheap import, he renamed. On the level of Players, Orchid and the like. I'd say stay away from, unless it's for an absolute beginner.

Wow a whole site dedicated to him... Wow! i didn't know this guy was such a liar... That is sad really...

Lying isn't the half of it. It's his harassment of individuals that gets him in trouble, to the point of being confronted and actually struck at SBE some years back. With his black belt and all he cried for security like an infant, or so I was told. You'd have to see him in action to believe it, I'm sure, but it's true.

Fresh Broomstick

What I heard was he uses only the freshest of broomsticks from
the northern dollar stores. None of that cheap stuff from
the west coast.

The tips are made from only recycled green olives.

The wrap is made from the rarest of string from the jumbo
rolls at home depot.

The finish is from the new shake and eat jello packs.
Makes a bath tub full and the cues cure for 3 or 4 hours
so they get a complete covering.

From there they are sent straight into the hands of cue savy
collectors.
