Just wondering what is the difference in a 3/4 inch cutter and the 1 inch cutter, other than the quarter inch what are the uses for the different sizes. It it just a thinner point or what. Thanks.

The wider the cutter the wider the base of the point can be made.
I believe that one can cut 3/4 of an inch width and the other 1 inch. Since they are both 90 angles the points would be identicle however the point of the 1 inch cutter would be at a greater distance from the arbor and the angled sides would be longer. Either bit would be able to cut points on a cue's prong as you will not go in any further than about 1/2 inch in and at that depth the width of the cut at the bottom wouldn't exceed cutters width.

The one inch bit would produce more bit speed as the outside diameter is usually larger. So it will work on a lower speed milling machine and not just in a router. It also lets you cut very wide points. I sell the One inch bits for $50. I am not sure if I put them on my site yet or not.

With the 3/4 you can do 6-Point cues but you will need the 1" cutter if you want to do 4-Points with minimual gap at the base.
