Lucasi LD shaft

anybody try out the lucasi LD shaft? How does it compare to other LD shafts on the market?

I own one on my lucasi hybrid.

A very excellent 9 ball player from side-pocket, a local pool hall tried it out and commented. He owned a adams cue. He said he noticed a big difference and really liked the cue.

I own two cues that are nice, but only the lucasi has the LD shaft. I myself am newer to pool so all I notice is a soft but precise hit, whereas my bushka ltd is a stiff solid hit. The lucasi has a moori medium 9 layer and my bushka ltd has a hard tip. So this may be just the tips and cues but just letting you know what I notice.

I'm sure if I did complicated shots, or possibly was a better player I could give you most helpful info.. but this 9 ball player did notice a difference, and even said he was going to look into the hybrid as his new cue. He taught me a few things and I believe him to know what he is talking about, he noticed less deflection.

I feel like it does help back-english a good amount, even with my 2nd cue, the adams cue having a harder tip which in my opinion would make the adams bushka apply better english, but no the lucasi does with a medium tip

Oh also I was thinking of getting not a predator z2 or whatever but an OB2 for my bushka ltd cue, so I'd have LD on both cues and just use its benefits that other more skilled players notice.

the difference between it and the pred shafts is a more solid hit from what i've researched.

i have one it is an excellent shaft. deflection wise it is not a predator or OB, but in between those and regular shaft. The hit is like a regular maple shaft as the design is pretty traditional, no hollow spaces or wood ferrules. Nice long taper, but hits stiff. If you want LD with the feel of a traditional shaft, the lucasi and mezz are your best choices.

Thanks, I'm sending my cue back to lucasi for a warpage issue. I'm sure they will have to replace the entire cue and i'm thinking of asking to upgrade to the LD shaft.
