Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I just want to say you should bet on SVB to everyone....Florida is going to be the next DSM with the way they go off for the hometown guy. Shane beat Corey at this already...Donny is no Corey...that's all I wanted to say.

I have to agree...always bet on Shane in these TAR matches!!

Mike, did you get any sweat bets yet? I read about some not so smart guys that wanted to bet against Shane. I saw they wanted some weight, but that might not be so bad either.

Sure did get some bets in. Someone always wins by about 20 games. Theres like one exception to this and SVB aint playin Alex. Shane can rack the balls too can't he, this is gonna be bad for someone.

He might not beat Donny as bad as he did Scott Frost, but he will beat him by a healthy margin. You just know he will open in up before they hit 50. He might be up by 8 or 10 at that point:) These guys talkin again about huge packs, but that's not gonna happen. I know Donny can run, but not that many. Top run of 6 or 7 might be the limit. Should be fun to watch!!

Side rail break, I'd never bet on this game, from the box though good luck. That break spot is gonna move when the table heats up and the balls slide...Florida is humid so the rails are gonna play different but thats ok cuz svb is a midwest guy. SVB just has too much going for him, unless he just trips badly he can fade several packages.

Yeah, Shane has so much confidence in himself and the fact that the other guy is gonna stumble and fall flat on his face. I've seen it so many times with guys that Shane is playin. Did you get bets from anyone local? :)

No but I'd love to bet someone local as well. If anyone likes Donny Ill give them a sweat for whatever they want.

I think the equalizer here is that they are going to play on the big track which Donny is quite familiar with. Still give the edge to SVB though.

Gimmie 15 games and i'll bet $50 on Donnie.

I'm giving 7 games to Donny, SVB might trip and it could cost him that many games. If anyone wants Donny and 7 I can do that. Better odds for the money line, 6:5 there.

Bar tables are equalizers...the big slate is tougher, so the stronger guy is gonna win more often. All the good players are familiar with big tables, that's a pool table.

Hahaha, Scott Frost thought that the bar table was the equalizer didn't he:) Yeah, not so much!! Shane won't be up by 46 in this match, but he will put it on him good!!

thats kinda what I was thinking. Frost went from playing daily on a big box to playing SVB on a bar box for the dough. Donny plays on a big box all the time and thats what the match is gonna be played on. After watching Donny play on a 9' table, he just looks REAL comfortable.

Still leaning towards SVB overall, he is just too steady.

I wanted to copy and paste what JCIN replied to me in another thread. He said he has three rules when gambling on pool.

1. Never bet against Shane.
2. Never bet against a Filipino.
3. If Shane is playing a Filipino keep your money in your pocket and enjoy the show.

Based on JCIN's logic I'm gonna take option 1.

If only i saw anyone wanting to bet on donnie i might feel more comfortable with a little sucker spot. Guess im willing to drop to 12.

Blame Uwate Jason, he took the 7 games and then opened the window on that line, which as you know if there is no line on a game becomes the line when anyone likes it. I actually have 3 ppl betting even with me including some good old NC action. If you were wondering I would be less inclined to bet at all playing RYO 10 Ball...When the best player I know gets beat in an Hour and Ten mins by Donny Mills playing a game I stay away from it.

Donny is a champion and if SVB trips twice I think he will lose, but if he doesnt trip he'll win...7 games=1 trip to me.

I saw in a thread where several(2 or 3) guys were wanting to take Mills EVEN. I 'think' Watches and Bartram both said they would take Mills even.

Bartram saw first hand what Donny did to my buddy Lil Keith playing 12 ahead, I can see why he would want to bet with Donny.

As far as Watchez goes...no clue what he thinks on the match:wink:
