Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Maybe this thread could generate a local ostracizm list so those who consistently cheat can't play or get action anywhere?

What about the victims???????!!!!!! Don't THEY pay for drinks, etc? what about THEIR ability to buy from the bar after they've been frauded by another customer? Aren't they as important to the bar as the chizelers?

What the hell will the cheaters being paying for drinks and pool with, air?

I'm beginning to understand the problems you had there.

Did Big Dogs have their Friday night 10 ball. I heard it hasn't been very good lately. Anyone been there?

Just a small 10 or 12 people im guessing. Justin was playing 1pkt with Ray and i was with Bruce. decided to skip the tournament.

Clearly those questions were rhetorical in nature...the answer to every single one of them is the same...the answer is 'SO'!
 
My former woman and my girl both are doing a number on me. Add that to a healthy dose of somebody not knowing how to drink a warm glass of STFU and you end up losing to Todd. That's not the easiest thing to do especially when you're up 3-0, 2-0, and 5-2...and lose two races to 5 and a race to 9 by the scores 5-4, 5-2. and 9-5. Couldnt fade the other shit and underestimated my opponent.

P.S. Women without a cue have no business in the pool room!
 
Not trying to hijack the thread. Just wanted to introduce my self to the other Des Moines players. My names Jason and I'm new to AZ. I play Tuesday apa 8 ball out of stix in Ankeny, Sunday apa masters, and when I get a chance I play the Monday stix tournament.

I've been reading this thread and it sounds like there is some good action at Big dogs I'd like to watch some time, so maybe I will get a chance to meet and play some of you in person. I'm still a noob so go easy on me :)

My woman went with me once to a state pool tourney in souix city and once to the Atlantic tournament 8 years ago. She hasn't even asked to go back since...... apparently she got the clue!! YAY FOR CLUES!!! J/K E! LOVE YA!!! :kiss:

Amen to that, I ain't sweatin it, shoulda aired him or pawned my life to pay him though, darn it. I'll never see that $80 again oh no.

The people who got cheated were as welcome as those who did the airing. The people who aired everyone always had someone to pay for their drinks and pool. They ended up spending quite a bit of money in there which made it ok for those guys to be there. I know that good customers and gamblers don't like that they are in there, but what do ya do. It sucks!! The problem is this, their are people out there willing to keep backing and paying for these guys to keep on doin this stuff. Even when they aren't backing them, these guys have said they are.

A list is a good thing!!

Yeah Jeff, it sucked having my hands tied. Everyone thought it was me talking, but really it wasn't. Didn't like a lot of things that went on.

The big 9' track!!

I played some on the big box last night. I will have to say I had some fun on them. I gambled a little just to make myself concentrate more than just bang balls around. I was impressed with the way I shot on them and don't hate them AS much as I use to. Using a rake/bridge SUCKS!!!! Don't get me wrong, I'd still rather tell people I am related to Jamie Fenton than play on those daily! EWWWW......NEVERMIND!!!!!, I'd rather yank out my eyelashes w/ some plyers than tell people that! But, I won't avoid them like the Swine Flu!
