A guy i know in the local pool room had one of his little fits of gambling everything he owns away tonight. He lost to a buddy of mine, so I picked up a [generic] 3x6 hard case, and a mike sigel J/B cue for 30 bucks each. The guy who won didnt want em, the guy who lost em was like ' oh well time to rebuy my gear' and I just shrugged.
Checked the ebay prices and the case is listed for 40-50+ shipping. The J/B is listed at 60-70 + shipping. So all in all, not that great of a ' steal' but for this area its kind of a rare thing to find them that cheap.
Like I said no big thing, just wanted to feel stoked for finding a decent deal.
Also any North bama player's ran into an asian guy named ' John' from Mississippi? He hit our local room tonight and couldn't hit actions. I swear he would have had better luck falling out a boat and staying dry than getting action here. Everyone was so intimidated; just curious to know if anyone else knows him and his 'true' speed??
