I was watching a match recently being streamed from a room in Tn or KY, I cant remember where exactly, it was within the last 4-8 weeks.

anyways one commentator kept saying the Yellow CB rolled longer than the white CB. Watching the match on the stream it was hard for me to judge that.

So that made me wonder is there a difference between the white and yellow CB?? which leads me to the second question, if there is a difference, the difference would different in different conditions? wouldnt it?

I really love Billiards, I dont play it much, but I truely love it. And have the highest respect for billiard players.

NO there is no difference in the two colors other than the color.

Whoever said that either doesn't know what he's talking about or you misunderstood what he was saying.

Another thought, maybe they were playing on an old mis matched set of balls that had different diameters. In this case he could have been right and very observant.

I concur with 3kushn. Maybe this commentator was the inspiration for the recent Saturday Night Live sketch on pool.

Tampax to the max!

I dont think the balls were new,

I think the commentator was mistaken, I been around along time and I never heard of this before, I asked here because the distance traveled is so much longer on a carom table it would show up there long before it would on a 7' bar box.

Ya Fatboy I know you've been around the block a few times. It's an interesting concept though. Before you start a game with some old ratty balls, rather than choosing your favorite color, choose the ball that gives you a longest angle. The longer angle ball will give you more shots. Thats why short angle tables are a drag to play on. Its much easier to shorten a ball on a long angle table than to lengthen it on a short table.
