I am considering getting an elephant ear wrap for a new cue. I like the softer smoother kind. I was wondering if I end up not liking the wrap and changing to either lizard or leather, would there be a big gap to fill? (I'm thinking sometimes the elephant wrap is thick)

It all depends what the cuemaker had it skived down to we (joe blackburn steve lomax and myself) just got another done up and it is perfert down to .025 so with what we have than yes you would be able to get a differnt wrap if you did not like the elephant ear wrap (including linen) so if your intrested give me a call (856)449-2365

I was just enquiring whether is it possible to add a glossy shine to my existing matt looking elephant ear wrap? If so, kind to share what is the type of solution to use?

Also I like the feel of lizard wrap, but I play a lot and tend to wear them out easy, I'm guessing that elephant ear wrap holds up a lot better?

Elephant wrap does provide more grip than what lizard wrap has to offer.

Yes even though it is softer it wears better remember they run through a jungle in the wild all the time and their ears are always up in the trees so they have to be tuff or else they would always be getting cutt up on the branches! So yes they wear very well

id have buddy put it on he has done quite a few leather wraps for me and they turned out great, infact he is building me a few cues as well as a few other players i know, he works all the major tourneys with joe blackburn, he works and does repairs for all the topplayers, infact he put the new leather wrap on mikas cue this year then he won the open, nice lucky wrap:wink:
