Yes, although you have to hit that shot considerably harder than mine when the cut angle is this straight (with a little inside english). I'm more likely to use your path when the cut angle is greater:

Agreed- the 'kill' off rail 1 and 2 is made easier by the bigger angle of OB to the side. Now it slides into the proper starting slot as opposed to 'stunning it' with inside to get it started. Hitting the inside-stun a little too low can cause a scratch or some rattling around in that first corner, such that you never get back uptable.
Traffic dictates the 3 rail path. The initial 8ball angle to the side looks like you could hit crisp low inside stun to the bottom short rail, spin 2 rails out of the top right corner and get back good under the 9ball hitting a 3rd rail. They are all fun. Those hit with inside are harder for me to judge.
The OP had the most difficult shot by far. Hard to pocket the OB when you have to muscle up that much,in order to go around table 3 rails for shape. Excellent shot.
Why go 1 rail, when 3 rails are available, unless there just isn't anything else.
