Hi,

Going off of Chris's xmas story, I was wondering if anyone knew if a player named Earl Kellum (sp) still plays.

My old friend and I had a memorable time playing him at Chris Kitchen's old place in Bowling Green.

Thanks.

Earl Kellum

Earl Kellum was a card for sure, he could play pool for days on end, he and my brother Country Calvin have had many long marathon matches.

I remember going to a tournament in Tupelo,Miss. back in the early 80's, Earl had matched up after hours with Louie Roberts, Earl was getting the 7 playing 9-Ball from Louie, well to make a long story short Louie didn't like the game, he got beat so bad he took the 3rd place trophy he had just won in the tournament and threw it into the wall, it broke into many pieces......lol

Earl was in a terrible auto accident and never fully recovered, he may have died from something else, but the accident must have contributed to his death.

You are correct, he passed away several yr ago. he was a good friend of a friend of mine [billy tyler] he would come up from fla and stay with billy some. one story billy told of EARL--seems as a bunch of top players were sitting around BS-ING and up walkes this guy and ask if any wanted to shoot $5.00 nine ball. they all say na-- but earl might shoot you some,so off they go. next morning they as earl how it so??? Earl said o.k. didnt win but$3,000. so he gets last laugh!!! that EARL!!! good player , good humer, i was around him some always entertaning!!!:grin-square::rolleyes:
